Gillard Dominates CIK Championship

Newcastle’s Hayden McBride claimed the 2009 Australian CIK Karting Championship by finishing runner-up at the final round held in Queensland over the weekend.

Originally scheduled to be contested at the Ipswich circuit, the final day of competition was moved to the nearby Toowoomba circuit after track conditions were deemed unsafe on Saturday afternoon.

Beitske Visser Wins in WSK Master Series

In addition to the many visitors who come to the city during summer time, Siena (Tuscany) also hosted karters on 28th and 29th August for the much-awaited launch of the new WSK Master Series. Beitske Visser was up for the challenge, with a phenomenal race where she snatched victory at the very end of the race, at the wheel of her Intrepid-TM. For the Dutch girl this means another great performance to add to her list of achievements.

Eclectic Summer for Andrick Zeen

Andrick Zeen did not go on holiday in July, but had a busy sporting beginning of summer, marked by top level performances. The American driver from the Sodi Team does not hesitate to compete on several fronts, or rather categories, at the same time. A regular in KF2, he also won one heat in the Euro Endurance Series in Normandy and put in some brilliant performances at the first round of the U18 World Championship in Wackersdorf, Germany.
