Endurance Racing To Resume At Eastern Creek Next Month

Almost five months after it started, The Endurance Karting Association’s (TEKA) Eight Hour enduro event will be completed next month.

Endurance karting will be back at Eastern Creek next month

With the original event from May postponed after heavy fog halted proceedings the rerun of the event will be contested over seven hours throughout the night on the 1700 metre layout at Sydney’s Eastern Creek International layout.

The event organiser is inviting all existing TEKA teams, Sprint kart racers and any other drivers out there to find a kart or a team and come and join them for the event.

Tracksa, the most advanced track safety lighting system in the world, will again control the race operated by the Brydon family from Rockhampton.

Some of the drivers and teams already confirmed for the re-run of the event include the Tracksa Racing outfit led by CIK Stars of Karting Series drivers Cian Fothergill, John Grother, Brenton Simonds and Elle Brydon.

Other recognisable National performers Craig Stauner, and Matthew Hayes are also looking forward to competing to the event.

TEKA now attracting all ages!

TEKA with the approval of the Australian Karting Association has made some recent changes which is exciting news for young racers.

Although Endurance events are already a great atmosphere for families it just got better!

Junior karters can now sample Endurance style karts

News that children from the age of eight to fifteen can practice in any AKA approved kart at various times throughout the race timetable. There are plenty of dads, mums and older sisters and brothers already enjoying Endurance Racing, now younger siblings can also feel the buzz!

TEKA’s recent fifth round at Newcastle attracted large number of teams and saw both Cadets (7-12 years old) and Juniors (12-16 years old) separately enjoy a heap of track time with the crowd watching on.

The environment for the kids to learn the craft is absolutely perfect with a lack of pressure and more than enough advice offered from doting fathers. A single four-stroke engine is a popular choice with a cheap purchase price, minimal maintenance, pull start, good torque and ease of operation.
